thank you for reading and for being here. for a lot of us, it feels impossible to wrap our heads around the idea that even though we are living beings, we have been defined out of existence in the law. it gets back to the fundamental impossibility of being undocumented: that a person with agency can't possibly be not a person when the law is supposed to both mirror and organize society. in reality, though, that's how the law is set up! oppressed communities thus have to define their *own* ways of being and living outside of the givens. i hope that this space can be a home some of those stories. 💫
